So happy

Olivia is such a joy to play with. Sometimes she gets into funny moods, and she just laughs at anything I do. Tonight, she got into a tickle fit. She kept waiting for me to tickle her and then she would crack up. It's hilarious.

Sometimes it amazes me how happy she is, all the time.

She's getting so much more confident with pushing her truck.

Ringing a bell and wearing one of her Notre Dame t-shirts that Daddy's boss gave her when she was born. It's a 12-month size, and it fits her now.

Showing off her other Notre Dame shirt...Itty Bitty Fan Club.

Just relaxing and playing with her rattle.

At the Park

Our neighborhood has a series of concerts in the local park during the summer. Last night, we met Olivia's cousin, aunt and uncle there for some park fun. Olivia and Trey were jammin to the music, but after awhile, they wanted to play.

Olivia decided that she likes the swings now.

Hold me up high, Uncle Jared!

Weekend fun

On Saturday, we went to a birthday party for a friend's little boy, Ethan. Olivia enjoyed the outdoor picnic.

She kept turning around to eye the gifts.

Sitting with the big girls.

Entertaining herself with her sippy cup.

All tuckered out! Changed into a new onesie and ready for the ride home.

I caught Olivia standing on her collapsed exersaucer trying to reach the door handle to the porch door. By the time I grabbed my camera, this is how she looked. She knew she wasn't supposed to be climbing, little stinker!

Olivia decided that her truck needed repair.

Let's just take a look under the hood here...

Active

Olivia's teeth are coming in on top. Also, you can see the shiner she got (above her right eye) after pulling a dining room chair down on top of herself.

Her first experience eating broccoli and green beans with her fingers. She liked both!

Playing with her pal, Rudy.

Rudy likes to play rough, but Olivia doesn't mind. She's pretty aggressive herself. I guess she's met her match!

County Fair

Olivia went to her first county fair tonight. Her great-grandpa was being honored as an outstanding farmer for our county's agricultural hall of fame. The awards were being handed out at the hog barn after some of the hogs were shown. In the meantime, we got acquainted with some of the animals.

Hey, horse, why the long face?

Are you seriously suggesting I offer this animal my hand to lick? Are you crazy?

Mommy grew up on a dairy farm, and she says these are the kind of cows they had. They are really big.

Watching the hog show.

There are just so many things to see!

Mommy's tired, so I think I'll drive home. Can I, Mom? Please?

Eight Months

These photo shoots used to be a lot easier...back when Olivia would sit still and look at you and smile or laugh when you made faces at her. Our biggest challenge then was keeping her from falling over. Now, we have a hard time getting her to look and smile at the same time. She's too busy checking out the monkey's ear.

You want me to look and what now?

Talking to her stuffed monkey, completely oblivious to the camera.

Other photos from this week:
Eating shredded carrots is a messy business.

Hey Mom, did you see this strap down here?

What? I'm helping Mommy bake cookies. I'm not causing any trouble at all.

Holiday Weekend

Sporting her 4th of July colors and swinging in the afternoon heat.

Flashing a smile at a cousin's bridal shower on Saturday.

MmmBaaaah!

The neighbor's dog, Pepper, stopped by to sit in the grass with Olivia.

They like each other.
